Flying Vikings
Who Are We?
Flying Vikings is here to touch a child's life through aviation. Our rides are free to children (6-18) who have been diagnosed with either a chronic illness or physical disability. Here, the child is not a passenger, but becomes the pilot.
About
Flying Vikings’ greatest joy is to assist and help improve the lives of children in our community. This program will touch a child’s life and create memories for a lifetime through a 20-30 minutes plane ride.
Seeing children dream with their eyes wide open at 2000 feet is truly magical. The program is designed to immerse children ages 6 to 18 years old with a chronic illness or physical disability into a high flying adventure. Children will be given the opportunity to take the controls of the plane, navigate the sky as they become the pilots.
The purpose of the events is to be fun, relaxed, and a positive experience for the children and families.
This can only happen through your generous support.
“The fly days are very well organized and are scheduled in advance. Here, a committee of volunteers alongside the Flying Viking staff is assembled to discuss the day event. This is required to make sure the event runs smoothly since the audience is always changing.”
